Upload a File

Method one

  1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
  2. Click the My files section on the left panel.
  3. Click the Upload button in the top center panel.
  4. Select Files.
  5. In the new window, locate the files to upload locally.
  6. Click Open.
  7. In the prompt, click Upload.

Method two

  1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
  2. Click the File Transfer Hub button in the top left panel.
  3. Select Transfer.
  4. In the new window, select the files from the local access directory in the right panel.
  5. Drag-and-drop the files to the left panel into the vault.
  6. Click Exit.
caution

You cannot upload files or directories from local machine into your vault's trash.

tip

You can exit the file transfer window while uploading larger files into your vault.

Upload a Directory

Method one

  1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
  2. Click the My files section on the left panel.
  3. Click the Upload button in the top center panel.
  4. Select Directories.
  5. In the new window, locate the directory to upload locally.
  6. Click Upload.
  7. In the prompt, preview the directory structure.
  8. Click Upload.

Method two

  1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
  2. Click the File Transfer Hub button in the top left panel.
  3. Select Transfer.
  4. In the new window, select the directory from the local access directory in the right panel.
  5. Drag-and-drop the directory to the left panel into the vault.
  6. Click Exit.
tip

Allow multiple uploads in your browser if you perform this action frequently.

Upload a File from the Cloud

You cannot upload files from the cloud but you can transfer files from the cloud.

Preserve Directory Structure When Uploading

tiCrypt upload function preserves the local directory structure by default.

Set up the directory structure before the upload.

Set Permissions for Files and Directories Upload

  1. Login to your admin account.
  2. Go to Management icon in the top left panel.
  3. Select Users section.
  4. Select Users.
  5. Find and select the user you wish to delegate upload permissions.
  6. Click the Open Full Menu three-dot button in the top right panel.
  7. Next, select Open Overlay.
  8. In the overlay, select Profile & Permissions card in the left panel.
  9. Go to the section Basic Vault Interaction.
  10. Check Upload content to own files.
  11. Once done, click Save in the top right panel.
caution

By default, all users have upload access. Only experienced users should modify upload permissions for specific delegation scenarios.
